Dr. He Tao has long been engaged in the research of rock physical models and geological structural deformation. At present, his interest mainly focuses on the rock physical properties of marine natural gas hydrates, and has deeply participated in the first and second hydrate trial production in Shenhu area of the South China Sea. He mainly carried out the correlation research on the changes of marine hydrate reservoirs by synthesizing and measuring geophysical parameters such as ultrasonic velocity and resistivity of hydrate-bearing sediments in the laboratory, seismic and well logging interpretations, as well as numerical simulation.
