Profile

Jintai Lin is Boya Distinguished Professor and Chair of the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, School of Physics. His research is focused on atmospheric chemistry modeling, satellite remote sensing, AI for environment, and climate change, with a particular interest in understanding of the problem of globalizing air pollution. As of December 20, 2023, he has published more than 100 journal papers, with more than 9000 citations and an H-index of 49, with 12 papers selected as ESI Highly Cited Papers, and with one of his papers downloaded by more than 200,000 times. He was selected as "Highly Cited Researcher in the field of Cross-Field" by Clarivate Web of Science in 2023, and as "World's Top 2% Scientists" (single-year impact list) for four consecutive years (2019-2022). He has won several prestigious domestic and international awards, such as Ministry of Education Changjiang Distinguished Professor, Outstanding Research Funded by NSFC, PNAS Cozzarelli Prize, and AGU Global Environmental Change Early Career Award. He has been invited to present at academic conferences and seminars for tens of times. He has been serving on the editorial boards of many journals, such as Environmental Research Letters (Executive Board), Advances in Climate Change Research, Journal of Meteorological Research, and Science Bulletin (Editoral Board Executive Board in 2019-2022; with Best Editor Award).
