Highlights

  1. Our group in collaboration with Prof. Ziqiang Wang at Boston College and Prof. Yi Zhang at Shanghai University, for the first time discovered the primary pair density wave state in a two-dimensional iron-based high-Tc superconductor. The paper “Pair density wave state in a monolayer high-Tc iron-based superconductor” was published online in NATURE on June 28, 2023 (Free Access: Nature 618, 934-939 (2023)) accompanied with a “News & views” paper “Widespread pair density waves spark superconductor search” (Nature 618, 910-912 (2023)).

  2. Our group in collaboration with Prof. Jie Xiong, Prof. Yanrong Li and Prof. Wanli Zhang at University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Prof. James M. Valles Jr. and Prof. Jimmy Xu at Brown University, Prof. Haiwen Liu at Beijing Normal University, Prof. Hong Yao at Tsinghua University, as well as Prof. Xi Lin at Peking University, for the first time demonstrated the existence of anomalous metallic state in high temperature superconducting films patterned with an array of holes. The paper “Intermediate bosonic metallic state in the superconductor-insulator transition” was online published in SCIENCE on November 14, 2019 and formally published on December 20, 2019 (Free Access: Science 366, 1505-1509 (2019)accompanied with a perspective paper “Free at last: Bose metal uncaged” (Science 366, 1450-1451 (2019)).

  3. Our group in collaboration with Prof. Xincheng Xie, Prof. Xi Lin, and Prof. Fa Wang at Peking University, as well as Prof. Qi-Kun Xue and Prof. Xu-Cun Ma at Tsinghua University, observed for the first time the quantum Griffiths singularity in two dimensional superconducting system (three-monolayer thick Ga film). The paper “Quantum Griffiths singularity of superconductor-metal transition in Ga thin films” was selected by SCIENCE EXPRESS, online published in SCIENCE on October 15, 2015 and formally published on October 30, 2015 (Free Access: Science 350, 542-545 (2015)) accompanied with a perspective paper “Randomness rules” (Science 350, 509 (2015)).
