Xianfeng Zhang is currently a Professor at the Institute of Remote Sensing and Geographical Information Systems, Peking University, Beijing, China. He received the Ph.D. degree in geography from University of Western Ontario, Canada, in 2005. His research interests include remote sensing of ecology, geospatial techniques for natural disaster management, and geospatial data handling and modeling. He is also a referee for several international academic journals such as ISPRS Journal, IEEE TGRS, Applied Remote Sensing, JSTARS, Remote Sensing, PE & RS, CJRS, IJRS, IJDE, CEUS, etc. He has published over 120 papers and edited/co-edited three books.
