Personal Profile:Ma Weiwei's research focuses on the seismic properties and rheological characteristics of the middle and lower crust of Western Yunnan. Seismic anisotropies of the continental crust are often used to determine deformation and movement in active orogenic belts.  it is speculated that a new possible source of seismic anisotropy in the middle and lower crust: compositional laying effect.
